I love techniques, they add so much to a card and sometimes it is really easy. Take these cards. I used the Flowers for Every Season Memories and More Cards and Envelopes. Since the card stock has a white core it was perfect. First I cut one of the card bases in half so I can have two pieces of card stock to play with. One will have a rectangle with white dots and the other will be plain. Using the plain piece of card stock I ran the Dandelions 3D embossing folder through the big shot. Then with one of the sanding blocks that Stampin Up used to sell I sanded the Misty Moonlight and revealed the white core. I love how much fun it adds to the card without a lot of effort.
What inspires you? My daughter inspired this card, when she was little she never wanted us to mow the yard because she loved the yellow dandelions. She had, and still has the best heart, best kid ever.
This one I used the Just Jade and then a piece Pool Party card stock zipped through the big shot with the new embossing folder Wrapped in Texture from the Aug-Dec. holiday mini. Then I used the biggest stitched rectangle I added a little more texture. Look at that luscious ribbon, its from the Gilded Autumn Suite and its Mint Macaron Basket Weave. it feels beautiful.
I love this effect. So much to look at out of a simple embossing technique.
ReplyDeleteI love those kind of techniques, thank you so much.
