Emboss Resist-Sea and Sand

I love the emboss resist technique, especially when you emboss white on white. You can't really see the magic until you start applying the ink. And with the new Blending Brushes it is so smooth and keeps your fingers clean. I almost forgot about the Pearlescent Paper, it is not real thick so it embosses like a dream.

The colors in the card are so pretty

and they really do remind me of the

Ocean.

I have a video so you can see how easy this is, then you can give it a try. Why not try some trees and then do the colors of the sunset or another good stamp set would be the Dragonfly Garden. Leave me a message if you would like to see that set used.

Ink-Stamp-Share Monthly Blog Hop

 January Blog Hop - Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration

I love the new January to June mini catalog and Sale a Bration is the best time of the year. So many new goodies to play with it's hard to decide what to share.

Some of the next buttons are not working today, click on the names in the roll call to see all the projects, technology is awesome when it works. Hahahah!!!!

You have just come from Jo Blackman ,what a hard act to follow, her projects are always fantastic. Hope you enjoy my card and I have a great video to share how to make the brick background and how to use the blends to color the snail. Enjoy..

Snailed It is such a fun set to color, when I saw the sample in the back of the catalog I knew I had to make it. What I didn't know is the background of the card is not an embossing folder. I found this out at 10:30, who could go to bed without making the card. What's a little sleep when you're having fun.

Yes, each block had to be cut and glued down.  Sure an embossing folder would of been easier but once you get going it's not that bad.

I wasn't completely happy with my coloring of the snail so I re-did it today when I wasn't as tired.
That's the great thing about creating, if you are not happy, you can always change it.

These are the colors I used for my

little snail, I think they were a good choice.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

So I had a lot of people ask about the card and how I did the background. Let me show you how I did it, just click on the video below and if you like it subscribe for other fun ideas.

Fine Art Floral Suite and Stitched Rectangles

I don't know if you knew this but I love the Fine Art Floral suite.
I did a video before this one to show you how to put some of the gilding leafing in the center of this card. But in this post it's a visual of the stitched rectangles to make this card.

Layering your dies is so fun, but take the time to add a little painters tape so they don't jump around because that will wreck them.

Ink-Stamp-Share January Blog Hop

Ink Stamp Share January Showcase Blog Hop, didn't you love what Stacey Marsh made?

I had some fun playing with the Fine Art Floral suite. I have three videos for you with some really fun techniques.

My first video shows how to make the art pieces for the following cards. Watercolor wash and how to use your embossing folder in a new way.

This card is a case of Shelly Gardner from OnStage in Novemeber, one of the perks of being a demonstrator.

I changed a couple of things from Shelly's card, we always have to put a little spin on a case right?

Can you see the textured background, I used the fine art floral embossing folder two different ways in my video. The video is right below the card, if you haven't subscribed to my YouTube channel, just click on the link please.

Subscribe here.

Up next is my card and video of a card Sara Douglass made for OnStage in November. I loved it so much and I think you will too.

My next video has another fun technique,  amd this card uses left over pieces which is always fun.

I used the stitched rectangles, gold leafing and a dead blender pen for a fun technique.

Up next is Alison Carter, keep hopping there are so many wonderful crafters on this blog. If you get lost you can click on any of the links below. Click on the next button to hop.

Allison Carter is up next, if the next button doesn't work, just click on her name.

Ice Cream Corner Suite Shaker Card 1

When I got the new January-June Mini Catalog the first suite that caught my eye was the Ice Cream Corner Suite.

If you know me I love ice cream, my daughter and I are always on the lookout for a new ice cream place. So the Ice Cream Corner Suite is perfect for all of our adventures. We usually try to make Honey look like he is eating all the ice cream. Ha Ha...

I have a shaker card and video with a  fun tip on using the adhesive foam sheets to make the shape of your windows in the shaker cards.

I love this card, it was a sample in the new mini catalog and the video below shows you how to create the shapes for your windows using the adhesive foam sheets in the annual catalog. I found it easier than using the dimensional strips.

Check back soon for the video that shows how to make this fun card and 1 more shaker card that is so easy you will be making your own in no time.

If you would like to join me as a demonstrator, Sale a Bration is the perfect time.

You get 5 packs of 6 x 6  in-color DSP for free and I will gift you with a bundle as my joining bonus.
